Zelda Mae DeVore, age 80 of Springdale, passed away Friday, August 16, 2024 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born on October 27, 1943 in Guthrie Center, Iowa to the late Arthur and Anna Gustin Sheeder. Zelda graduated from Guthrie Center High School. Mrs. DeVore was preceded in death by her son, James Lee DeVore in 1967; nine siblings, Harold Sheeder, Bill Sheeder, Dean Sheeder, Lillian Randolph, Maxine McCabe, Ilene Mills, Norma Lemke, Josphine Sneller and Sharon Nickell.

Zelda is survived by two children, Craig (Colleen) DeVore and Tamera Brooks, both of West Fork, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Amanda Tacker of Greenland, Arkansas, Julian Moffett of Sedalia, Missouri, Amy Cornelison of Fayetteville, Arkansas and Drake DeVore of West Fork, Arkansas; 7 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandson; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, August 22, 2204 at Heritage Funeral Home with Rick Gragg officiating. The interment will follow at Parks Cemetery in Winslow, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. prior to the service.  The family suggests memorials be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital , 2601 Gene George Blvd. Springdale, AR 72762.
