William Charles "Bill" Thomas, age 83 of Springdale, died April 15, 2022 at his home surrounded by his family. Bill was born November 22, 1938 in Austin, Texas to Curtis Clarence and Emma Virginia (Miner) Thomas. He entered the Navy as a young man and served his county faithfully. On August 24, 1974 Bill married Anita Jane Burson in Little Rock. He was a member of University Baptist Church. Faith, family, and friends were the core beliefs of his life. Mr. Thomas also enjoyed traveling and trout fishing, and thoroughly enjoyed his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife Anita Thomas; daughter, Sarah Henry of Austin, Texas; three sons, J. Bryan Smith and wife Holly of Little Rock, Michael D. Smith and wife Sara of Columbia, Tennessee, Joel I. Thomas and his wife Brittany of Rogers; three sisters, Bobbie Roles, Ann Dukes, Mary Lury and husband David; one brother, Curtis Thomas and wife Betty; 16 grandchildren, Noah Smith and wife Karen, Abby Smith, Amber Rodriguez and husband Eddie, Katie Smith, Kyber Lawson, Konor Thomas, Nathan Thomas, Josiah Thomas, Maisie Thomas, Maggie Thomas, Aylah Roberts, Noah Roberts, Easton Roberts, Will Henry, Ava Henry, Halle Henry; and one great-grandchild, Gideon Clay.

There will be a memorial service at Fayetteville National Cemetery at a later date.
