Vivian Augusta Stockton passed away June 5, 2026, in Siloam Springs at the age of 95. Vivian was born in Gentry, Arkansas to James Wilson Kelchner and Ella Toevs. Vivian earned a college degree and would marry her husband Joseph Haynes Stockton in September of 1966.

Vivian’s professional life consisted of working in institutional childcare facilities, but her passion was her wildlife rehabilitation center which she ran from her own home for nearly 30 years. Vivian’s joy for life and love she spread was evident in her achievement of breaking the hospital record for number of guests that would come to visit her while she was a patient.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Stockton; her parents; one sister, Maxine Kostreva

She is survived by her brother, Loren Kelchner; four nieces; and numerous cousins.
