Victoria Joan "Vicky" Lachance, age 61, of Springdale, died Friday, December 17, 2021 following a brief battle with cancer.  She was born July 22, 1960 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to Harry Albert and Joan Marie (Reynolds) Wendt.

Vicky loved to go camping with her devoted friends.  She also enjoyed traveling, playing Bingo with her sisters, and watching Razorback football.  She worked for Springdale Schools for the past 19 years and enjoyed serving others in her various roles.  Vicky loved to make others happy and was a giving and compassionate individual.  Above all she was devoted to her family and especially her granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her husband, David Lachance, in 2015; her daughter, Amy McKinnon, in 2012; one brother, Nick Wendt; and one sister, Chris Ledford.  She is survived by three children, Orestes Ortega, III, David Lachance, Sara Lachance Smith and husband Ryan; her granddaughter, Faylind McKinnon; two brothers, Steve Wendt, Russ Wendt; six sisters, Diana Jachim, Debbie Schearer, Cathy Malec, Rosie Martin, Donna Wendt, Paula Swift; many nieces, nephews, cousins; and her beloved Corgi, Moose.

A memorial service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, December 21, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.
