Tommy Wayne Lester, age 75, passed away Sunday, June 25, 2023, at his residence. He was born on April 29, 1948, in Prairie Grove, Arkansas to the late William Thomas Lester and Ellen Mae (Frankfather) Lester. Tommy graduated from Fayetteville High School. He honorably served in the United States Navy aboard the USS Henderson (DD-785) during the Vietnam Era. Tommy will be remembered as a kind, gentle and intelligent man. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lester-Duggar.

Tommy is survived by spouse, Lawerence Nestrud; brother, Billie Lester of Farmington, Arkansas; sister, Connie Beard and her husband Layne of Pea Ridge, Arkansas and a host of extended family members.

Graveside service will be 11:30 am Thursday, June 29, 2023 at the Fayetteville National Cemetery with Pastor Ben Seewald officiating the service. Military honors will be rendered by the United States Navy Honor Guard and American Legion Post 100. Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home.
