Teresa Iwaki, age 59, died on April 24, 2023, in Springdale, Arkansas. She was born on February 21, 1964 in Misawa, Japan to the late Ralph and Yasuko (Iwaki) Brock. Graduating with a Master's Degree in Anthropology from the University of Arkansas, she worked on several archeological digs, including overseas. She also encouraged many students by teaching English as a Second Language (ESL). Teresa had a huge love of animals, especially cats. She often fed the feral cats in her neighborhood, as well as keeping several pets of her own. She was a lifelong dedicated member and leader of the Soka Gakkai International, a Nichiren Buddhist lay organization (SGI-USA).

She was preceded in death by her father, Ralph Brock, and her mother, Yasuko Brock. She is survived by her ex-husband, John Jones, and her close friend, Jill Lindsey, of Springdale, Arkansas.
