Steven Earl Kelchner, age 66 passed away on Saturday, February 8, 2025 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born on December 23, 1958 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas to Loren and Louise Kelchner. After graduating high school he worked at Kelchner Landscape, alongside his family members. He was a man of faith pursuing his education at John Brown University in Siloam Springs, Arkansas and later attending Rhema Bible Training College in Tulsa, Oklahoma, further nurturing his spiritual growth. He was a member of The River Church NWA in Rogers, Arkansas, where he shared his gift and love of music by playing his guitar. Steven was an avid motorcycle enthusiast, particularly fond of his Harley-Davidson. His adventurous spirit extended to his love for Jeeps, and he enjoyed exploring the backroads and trails whenever he had the chance. Steven cherished the simple things in life, especially the time spent connecting with friends or loved ones over a cup of coffee. Those moments of fellowship brought him great joy and strengthened the bonds he held dear.
Steven is survived by his parents, Loren Kelchner and Louise (Rutherford) Kelchner; daughter, Katie Prock and husband Bo of Purdy, Missouri; three sisters, Janet Burnett of Gentry, Arkansas, Sandy Heathman and husband Jimmy of Rogers, Arkansas and Brenda Kelchner and husband, Matt Pruden of Springdale, Arkansas; niece, Cassidy Hargis and husband Dusty of Elkins, Arkansas; nephew, Matt Burnett of Sheridan, Wyoming; great niece, Tenley Hargis; numerous cousins.
Memorial service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, February 14, 2025 at The River Church NWA in Rogers, Arkansas. Paster Dale Van Volkenburg will officiate the memorial service. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas.
