Sarah Frances Toon, age 84, passed away on July 28, 2023 surrounded by her family. She was born on December 23, 1938 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to the late Theodore F. and Virginia O. Kupsick. Sarah worked as an educator for Springdale Public School district until retirement in 2011. She also worked for Wal-Mart for 20 years. After retiring from teaching and Wal-Mart she continued to substitute as a special education aid within her local school district. Sarah was proud of her Native American culture within the Cherokee tribe. She was a long-time member of Robinson Avenue Church of Christ. Sarah loved her family dearly. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jennie Lee Drake and Jackie Marie Lann;  brother, Homer L. Kupsick; one brother in-law, Seymour Drake.

Sarah is survived by her loving husband of sixty years, Robert Roneal Toon; two sons, Ronald Lee (Brandy) Toon of Warner, Oklahoma and Richard Len (Loretta) Toon of Springdale, Arkansas; three grandsons, Taron Toon, Dylan Toon and Devan Toon; one brother, Ted (Phyilis) Kupsick; one sister in-law, Carolyn Kupsick; special nieces and nephews and host of extended family and friends.

Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at Robinson Avenue Church of Christ in Springdale, Arkansas with Pastor Keith Kilmer officiating the service. Donations can be made in her honor to St. Bonaventure Mission & School. www.stbonaventuremisson.org
