Ruth Elaine Counts, 74 of Deer, Arkansas passed away Tuesday in Harrison, Ruth was born January 16, 1947, in Wichita, Kansas the daughter of Hughlon and Esther Cundiff DeFore. Ruth married Bill Counts April 23, 1966, being a devoted Pastor's wife for 54 years. She was a member of Deer Baptist Church, enjoyed singing, playing the piano, sewing, quilting, and most of all spending time with her children and grandchildren giving out hugs and showing them compassion that could brighten their days.

Ruth is preceded in death by her parents; one brother James DeFore; one sister Wanda Holm. She is survived by her husband Bill Counts of the home; three sons Mark and wife Robbin Counts of Deer, Mike and wife Ona Counts of Springdale, Paul and wife Sherri Counts of Springdale; nine grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren.

Graveside services are Monday 12:00 PM at Deer Cemetery with Pastor Loy Counts officiating, Visitation will be 1 hour prior 11:00 AM at the cemetery. Pallbearers are Timothy Counts, Matthew Counts, Nathan Counts, John Counts, Brandon Romans, Loy Dale Counts. Honorary Pallbearers are Danny Counts and Bryan Doverspike.
