Rosa Gonzalez (Rosa Zaragoza Barroso) age 84, of Van Buren, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, June 4,2024 in West Fork, Arkansas. She was born October 7,1939, at Hacienda La Noria, in Irapuato, Guanajuato, Mexico, to Fausto and Isabel Zaragoza.  Rosa came to the United States in the mid 1950's.  A housewife, Rosa became a United States citizen, residing in the state of California. In the mid 90's, she was raising her growing family and decided to move to the state of Arkansas.  Living between Arkansas and her hometown in Mexico, Rosa loved music and dancing. She was addicted to The Walking Dead. As she watched the final season in the ICU room and her nurse came in, she whispered to me, "The nurse must be saying, look at this crazy old lady watching the zombies" lol.

She was preceded in death by parents, Fausto Zaragoza and Isabel Barroso; former husband, Jesus G. Hernandez; their children, Rafaela Hernandez, Ysidro Hernandez, Maria H. Lopez, Ophelia H. Villanueva and Johnny Hernandez; husband, Jose C. Gonzalez; siblings, Luis Zaragoza, Virginia Zaragoza Barroso, Ester Zaragoza Barroso, Maria de la Luz Zaragoza Barroso, Roberto Zaragoza, Miguelito Zaragoza, Faustino Zaragoza, and Jesus Zaragoza.

Rosa is survived by seven children; Louie Hernandez (Elsa) from Henderson, Nevada, Jesse Hernandez (Lulu) from Riverside, CA, George Hernandez (Stella) from Little Rock, Ark, Rose Hernandez-Gonzalez (Robert) from West Fork, Ark, Eddie Hernandez from Santa Ana, Ca, Elizabeth Hernandez-Salmeron (Jimmy) from The Woodlands, TX, and Joe Gonzalez (Ashley) from Van Buren, Arkansas; 42 grandchildren and 63 great-grandchildren; siblings, Virginia (Juan), Carmela, Isabel, and Maria Elena.

She will be flown to her final resting place in Mexico, next to her husband Jose C. Gonzalez at Gayosso Funeraria, Boulevard Solidaridad 12237, Laboratorio CFE, 36624, Irapuato, Gto. Mexico. Services in Mexico are pending and will be posted at a later date.
