Ronald Avery Gabbard, 71, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, December 5, 2023. He was born on April 23, 1952 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to the late Noah and Norma Gabbard. Ron graduated from Fayetteville High School in 1970 and the University of Arkansas in 1975. Ron met his soon to be bride, Susan Fedosky. They married in Fayetteville, Arkansas on July 10, 1976. Ron and Susan moved to Longview, Texas in 1978 where he began a 20 year career with Sherwin Williams. They moved to Texarkana, Texas in 1986 where they homeschooled their four children until 1996 when they returned to Northwest Arkansas, and Ron began a career in real estate. Ron accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior while attending a revival at the University of Arkansas where the Holy Spirit convicted him to turn from his sin and give his life to Christ. Ron was a dedicated father and a faithful husband who served the Lord through giving his time to the church and TV ministries. Ron had a passion for all things baseball and loved even more sharing his passion with everyone around him. His other passions included movies (especially John Wayne), Southern Gospel music, Diet Mt. Dew, and all things patriotic. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Carl Dean Gabbard.
Ron is survived by wife, Susan Gabbard; four children, Marcy Gebert (Brett), Jeff Gabbard (Al), Amy Francis (Doug), Brian Gabbard (Brittney); grandchildren Breseis, Adeleigh, Tristan, and Samuel Gebert; Lucy, Henry, and Elvis Gabbard; Charlotte, Piper, and Benaiah Francis; Kelcye, Kyler, Chayton, and Jessamie Gabbard.
Memorial service will be 12:00 p.m. Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Mission Boulevard Baptist Church in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Pastor Doug Francis will officiate the service.
Psalm 116:5-7, "The Lord is gracious and righteous, our God is compassionate. The Lord guards the inexperienced. I was helpless, and He saved me. Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you."
