Ronald Edward Alderson, age 76, died in Fayetteville, Arkansas on December 26, 2023. He was born in Springdale, Arkansas on December 20, 1947 to the late Jesse William Jr. and Gladys (Denny) Alderson. Throughout his life Ronald took on many careers, from delivering mail, working as an executive, opening his own country store, and eventually retiring from Pratt and Whitney. He loved to explore, study history, play music and most of all, his family. He married Verna May Dutton on August 28th, 1965. He loved spending time with friends and family. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years, from golf, fishing, treasure hunting, spelunking, genealogy, and music. He is preceded in death by his brother, Gary Alderson.

He is survived by his wife, Verna (Dutton) Alderson; one son, David Alderson of Springdale, Arkansas; two daughters, Stacy Gilbert of Branson, Missouri and Darla and Husband Brent Duncan of Springdale, Arkansas; two brothers, Cecil Wayne Alderson and wife Louise of Elkins, Arkansas, Larry and Sondra Alderson of Fayetteville, Arkansas; one sister, Shelia Williams of Delaney, Arkansas; 10 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren; with a host of extended family.

Graveside service 2:00 pm, Thursday, December 28, 2023 at Oakland Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
