Roger Eugene Godsey, 74,passed awaySaturday, July 4, 2020 in Fayetteville. He was born October 28, 1945, in Aurora, Missouri, to William FloydGodseyand Velma Lucille Lawson Godsey. Roger served eight years in the United States Air Force,withthree toursof dutyin Vietnam.Heretiredfromtwenty years ofDental sales/office designandworked forthenretired from the Post Office after ten years.He was dedicated to his family and enjoyed cooking. He was anexceptionalbowler and a fan of Razorback football. He was also fond of gardening and kept his yard meticulously landscaped.Roger was a wonderful father,husband, brother,grandfatherand friend;and will be greatly missed by many.

He is survived byfourdaughters, Natalie L.Swatsenbergand husband Daniel, Lynn Byrd and husband Chris, Kim Henderson, and Becky Bowlin and husband Paul;elevengrandchildren, DestinySwatsenberg,Aidan Godsey,Alyssa Bowen, AlecSwatsenberg, Megan Byrd, Harper Henderson, JoshuaMcFarlane,AndrewMcFarlane, Tim Leos, Nick Leos, and Dylan Leos;threegreatgrandchildren,Jaden Bishop,Weston BowenandA'RayaBlackburn;one brother, John Godsey and wife Becky.

He was preceded in death by his wife, SharonK.Godsey;hisson, AJ Godsey; and sister, Norma Green.

A celebration of life will be 11 a.m. Monday, July 13, 2020 at Heritage Funeral Home.
