Obituary

Robert Scott Weston, 74, of Lowell, Arkansas passed away unexpectedly on September 26, 2025 in Cincinnati, Ohio due to complications from acute pancreatitis. He was born on July 18, 1951 in Maryville, Missouri to the late Robert and Donna Lavonne (Cederlind) Weston. Scott served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War at RAF Chicksands in Bedfordshire, England. After serving, he earned his bachelor's degree while working part time at Ameribank in St. Joseph, Missouri. He started in the mailroom but rose through the ranks, eventually becoming a bank president at several companies. He retired as a market president in Fort Smith, Arkansas. Scott met his wife, Katherine (Swope) in college. They married in 1976 and had four children.

His Christian faith was the core of his character - kind, gentle, and giving while remaining resolute in his desire to always do the right thing even when it was the hard thing. Scott thoroughly enjoyed retirement where he was welcomed into a brotherhood of golfing friends. The most important thing to Scott however were his thirteen grandchildren. Somehow, he made them all think they were his favorite.

Scott is survived by his four children, Julie Weston Conley, Robert Louis Weston and his wife, Dr. Kalyani Marathe, Daniel Scott Weston and his wife, Rose, Hillary Katherine Yerton and her husband, Phillip Yerton; thirteen grandchildren; two sisters, Donna Weimer, Ann and her husband, Bob Simmons; in-laws, Ruth and Mike Gaddie and Steve and DiAnne Swope. He will be mourned by a host of extended family and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M, Tuesday, October 7, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas.
