Robert "Bob" James Stewart, age 80, passed away Sunday, March 24,2024 at his residence in Garfield, Arkansas. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on May 28,1943, to the late Marvin and Marguerite (Kirk) Stewart. Bob married Carolyn Marie Sprinkles on February 16, 1963. He spent many years with Smurfit-Stone, where his ability to connect with others and his energetic personality helped build a successful sales and management career until retirement. An avid Razorback fan, Bob also found personal enjoyment in racquetball and softball. He loved music of all genres as his vinyl collection will attest, and he loved animals of all kinds. He found great enjoyment in sharing his interests and hobbies with family and friends alike. Always ready to take on the next challenge, his favorite motto in life was "Try to try". Bob was preceded in death by five siblings; Marvin "Sonny" Stewart, Daniel Stewart, Barbara Jean Neely, Nancy Hunter, and Margaret Ellen Stewart.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Carolyn Stewart of Garfield, Arkansas, two daughters, Jeannie Sneed and her husband Dale of Lowell, Arkansas, and Kay Stephenson and her husband, Don of Fort Smith; brother, Michael Stewart of Springdale; sister-in-law, Edna Stewart of Springdale; many loving nieces and nephews.
No services will be held. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale, Arkansas.
