Obituary

Rafael "Chato" Hurtado, Jr., age 36, of Springdale, died Thursday, September 24, 2021 at Mercy Hospital in Rogers, Arkansas.  He was born October 24, 1984 in Weslaco, Texas, to Rafael, Sr. and Felicitas (Vega) Hurtado.  Chato enjoyed watching movies, eating hot wings, driving on road trips and riding his motorcycle.  He worked hard at everything he did to provide for his family.  Chato was friendly to everyone he met and put others first.

He is survived by his wife, Marcia (Morales) Hurtado; three children, Ethan, Sadie and Rafael, III; his parents; one sister, Julia Figueroa; three brothers, Jose Angel Hurtado, Francisco Hurtado, Victor Hurtado; and several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunt, uncles, other relatives and friends.

A funeral mass will be 1 p.m. Wednesday, September 29, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springdale.
