Obituary

Paul Estan Shepherd, age 82 of Farmington, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, April 7, 2026 in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born on August 2, 1943 in Winslow, Arkansas to the late William Thomas and Alice (Barker) Shepherd. In 1969, he married the love of his life, Barbara Tilton. Paul later worked as a small motor mechanic for Springdale Country Club. He was meticulous about his lawn and helped the neighbors with theirs. One of Paul’s favorite TV shows was The Steve Wilkos Show. Paul was a fun-loving man and enjoyed being humorous and ornery around his family and friends. His greatest joy in life was being “Papo” and “Popie” to his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Shepherd; three brothers, Guy Shepherd, Elbert Shepherd and Elmer Shepherd; sister, Hazel Pauline Hodge.

Paul is survived by four children, Sherri Johnson of Farmington, David Shepherd of Farmington, Billie Warford and her husband, David of Fayetteville, Paula Walker; six grandchildren, Brittanie Fisk and her husband, Jason, Laura Murphy and her husband, Derrick, Anthony Sutton, Derek Sutton and his wife, Jennifer, David Shepherd, Jr. and Bailey Shepherd; eight great grandchildren; siblings, Dollie McCollough of Springdale and Lyndon Tilton of Farmington; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel in Springdale. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. prior to the service. Pallbearers will be David Warford, Anthony Sutton, Jason Fisk and Derrick Murphy. Interment will follow at Prairie Grove Cemetery.
