Obituary

Patricia "Pat" Ann Wages, 87, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 21, 2025. She was born on October 1, 1937, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to the late Allen E. and Forrest Marie (Williams) Hall.

Pat was a passionate, loving, and godly woman. Her family knew just how much she loved Jesus. Pat showed his light through everything she did. She prayed daily and taught her kids and grandkids the love of Jesus Christ. Pat taught Sunday school and was the bus minister in the old days. Her other passions included cooking and gardening. Pat loved everyone like she loved her flowers.  She took care of each and every one no matter what kind it was. Pat loved to travel, no matter if it was a longer trip, like to the beach or a short trip to Branson for the weekend.  Her kids have fond memories of long drives on Sunday afternoons. They would settle in to eat some of her great cooking for dinner or a picnic at the lake. Outside of her simple passions, Pat was a hard worker. She retired after working at Walmart for a while and went to work for her son, Danny, at the jewelry store. After that, she continued her legacy of caring and went to work for Butterfield Assisted Living. She touched the lives of so many people and all will remember her love.

She was preceded in death by her lovingly maternal grandparents who raised her, Foster and Carl Williams; brother, Allen Hall; sister, Nancy Pardue.

Pat's legacy is carried on by her devoted husband of 69 years, Vernon Wages; her sons, Danny K. Wages (Robin) and Jim Wages (Joan), both of Springdale; daughter, Ann Brown of Springdale; her brother, Jeff Hall (Marie) of Rancho Santa Margarita, California; her sister, Billye Hall of Fayetteville, Arkansas; nephews Jeff Hall Jr. and Johnny Miles; nieces Tareneh Manning, Tonya Allison, Patti and Kim; five grandchildren: Hayley Pruitt (Andy), Danika Murphy (Anthony), Brandon Vermeulen, Chanda Wages, and Lily Foster; eleven great-grandchildren: Skyler, Serenity, Kadence, Davis, Reese, Eli, Hayden, Chasity, Kennedy, Hannah and Kason; and one great-great-grandchild, Grayson; a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday, February 27, 2025 at Heritage Funeral Chapel of Springdale, with Pastor Charles Foster officiating. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas.
