Pat (Patricia Sue) Elkins, age 87, of Springdale, Arkansas passed away July 23, 2024 after a long battle with cancer. Pat was born on August 18, 1936, to the late Samuel and Katura Ramsey in Jerusalem Arkansas. She graduated from Jerusalem High School in 1955, then married Leamon Elkins that same year. They had three children together, Edwin, Tammy, and Janet. After being a stay-at-home mom for many years in Southern California, she enjoyed a 21-year career working in various school cafeterias. Pat worked her way up the ranks from pot washer to baker's helper. During this time, she took the opportunity to improve on a carrot cake recipe in her own time. It was as displeasing in taste as it was in appearance. She worked her magic and improved the recipe so much; her supervisor recognized her efforts by distributing her recipe to the entire school district cafeterias. In 1993, Pat retired and moved to Springdale Arkansas with her husband and daughter Tammy. They began attending Robinson Avenue Church of Christ. Pat and Tammy began cultivating lifelong friendships with many of the women from church. They joined a ladies bible study group known as the Little Old Ladies. Affectionately named the LOLs. Pat spent countless hours making hundreds of knitted caps of all sizes, for patients with cancer and premature babies. She loved to bake and put her skills to work baking hundreds of rolls for funeral meals, cookies and cakes for various church events. Pat even taught a couple classes to teach others how to make her amazing rolls before she needed to give it up. Pat was preceded in death by her husband, Leamon Elkins; daughter, Tammy Elkins; three brothers, Samuel Ramsey, Dean Ramsey, Robert Ramsey and two sisters Ivalee Ramsey and Lillian Ramsey.

Pat is survived by her son Edwin Elkins, his wife Pam Elkins; daughter, Janet Elkins; granddaughter, Melissa Fuller, her husband Keith Fuller; great granddaughters, Olivia Fuller and Bria Fuller; Grandson, Eddie Elkins Jr, his wife Lindsey; great grandchildren, Reagan Hendricks and Rhett Elkins.

Visitation will be 9:00-10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 27,2024 at Robinson Ave. Church of Christ with funeral service beginning at 10:00 a.m.  Minister Keith Kilmer will be officiating the service and musical arrangements by song leader Lowell Miller. The funeral service will be able to be viewed live on the Robinson Ave. Church of Christ  YouTube channel  . As well as flowers, the family requests donations be made to  Robinson Church of Christ  , an organization Pat felt so strongly about. Her family in Christ.
