Otis Dean Fanning, age 90 passed away Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at his home in Springdale.  He was born on February 18, 1934 in Urbanette, Arkansas to Waltza Harviston and Walter Fanning.  Dean served in the United States Army.  He was preceded in death by parents, Waltza and Walter Fanning; wife, Joy Evalene Griffith Fanning; sisters, Daisy Laningham, Jean McCarty, Doris Downum, Ann Corter and Tommie Lea Ball.

Dean is survived by son, Michael Dean and wife Deborah Fanning of Springdale; daughter, Lucinda Joy Fanning-Grigg and husband, Ricky of Springdale; brother, Bobby Joe Fanning and wife Pauline of Eureka Springs; sister, Sue Moore of Springdale; three grandchildren, Tiffany Selvey, Caleb Fanning and Austin Fanning; great grandchild, Lane Selvey.

Visitation 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 25th at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. A Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, February 26, 2024 at Bluff Cemetery with Pastor Larry Marler officiating.  Pallbearers are Jeff Corter, Dennis Corter, Les Corter, Charles Martin, Keith Harviston and Jennifer Marshall.  Honorary Pallbearers are Jarvis Teague and Hugh Bailey.  Arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home (479) 751-2444.
