Oman Lonnie Stroud, age 76, passed away Sunday, August 6, 2023 in Springdale, Arkansas. He was born in Fayetteville, Arkansas on June 15,1947 to the late Oren and Clela (Maggard) Stroud. Lonnie was a retired veteran, VA Hospital employee, and VA Hospital volunteer for 40+ years.  He served on the Goshen City Council for 20 years and was a long-time member of First Southern Baptist Church of Goshen.  After God, Lonnie's greatest passion was performing acts of service for family and friends.

He is survived by wife, Linda Jackson Stroud; three sons, Shane (Nikki) Stroud of Pottsville, Arkansas, Chris (Beckie) Stroud of Fayetteville, Arkansas, Michael Stroud and significant other Kylie of Goshen, Arkansas; brother, Audrey (Ruthie) Stroud of Goshen, Arkansas; sister, Donna Mason of West Fork, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; three bonus grandchildren; a host of extended family.

Funeral services will be 10:00AM, Thursday, August 10, 2023 at First Southern Baptist Church of Goshen, Arkansas. Burial will follow at 1:30 pm at Fayetteville National Cemetery of Fayetteville, Arkansas.  Funeral arrangements under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home (479) 751-2444
