Melvin Lawrence Pianalto, age 73 of Springdale, died Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers.  He was born May 12, 1948, in Fayetteville, the oldest child of Lawrence Sereno and Lucy Marie (Piazza) Pianalto.  Melvin was the protector of his family and a friend to everyone he met.  He was always looking to help others and truly was a great man that enjoyed life. Melvin will be dearly missed by many, because he loved so many and he loved them unconditionally.

He is survived by six brothers and sisters, Mary Ann Carender and husband Dale, David Pianalto and wife Tammy, Henry Pianalto and wife Becky, Patricia Julich and husband Steve, Edith Martin and husband David, Leona Sabatini and husband John; his best friend, Jeff Brandt; 4 beloved nieces, 6 nephews, 13 great nieces and 10 great nephews. Melvin was preceded in death by a niece, Hannah Elizabeth Martin.

A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, at St. Joseph Cemetery in Tontitown.  Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.  Memorial contributions may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital .
