Melba Faye MacLennan, age 95, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Shiloh Nursing and Rehab in Springdale. She was born on December 22, 1928, in Charlie, Texas, to the late Elmer and Leona Isaac. On August 16, 1952, Melba married Norman Frazer MacLennan in St. Louis, Missouri. Together, they traveled across the country before eventually settling in California to start their family. In 1975, Melba and Norman moved to Springdale, Arkansas, where they continued building a life rich in love and shared experiences.
A devoted wife, mother of three, and homemaker, Melba found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She was an avid traveler, a dedicated gardener, and had a lifelong love of animals and the natural world. She was also a talented cook, a skilled seamstress, and enjoyed needlework. Melba's faith was important to her, and she was a longtime member of the Jehovah's Witnesses Kingdom Hall in Springdale.
Melba is survived by her sons, Kenny MacLennan of Elkins, Arkansas, and Kevin MacLennan of Springdale, Arkansas; daughter, Barbara Mayes, and her husband, Michael, of Springdale; as well as her cherished grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 20,2024 at Bluff cemetery in Springdale, Arkansas with Minister Wayne Fisher officiating.
