IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Maxie Carol
Talsma
April 12, 1948 – April 9, 2022
Maxie Carol Talsma, 73 of Springdale, closed her eyes for the last time on Saturday, April 9 , 2022 and stepped into her eternal heavenly home. Maxie was born April 12, 1948 in Rupert, Idaho, to Alva Albert Fennell and Betty Lucille Lewis.
Maxie was a Christian and her heart's desire was for her family to know the Lord as their personal Lord and Savior. She was so excited to attend the Valley Lighthouse Church in Hindsville with her daughter, son, and daughter-in-law. Maxie grew up as an only child and always longed for siblings and as an adult she connected with her sister, Janice, and cherished the time they had together. She lived her life as an example of how to be kind, loving, generous, polite, and how to overcome life's hurdles and challenges. In fact, her ability to overcome even the most difficult challenges of life led us to believe she would also survive this hurdle! May we find comfort in knowing she received her heavenly healing!
She was a mother to those who came into her world, even though she didn't have to be, loving each one as her own. The way she lived her life showed us that it's the size of the love in your heart that means the most and the true meaning of love and family. She was a funny, feisty, hard-working, and kind-hearted Momma, Grandma, Great-Grandma, sister, and friend who loved with all her heart.
Maxie is survived by son J.D. (Jimmy Drew) Evans and wife Rhonda, and grandchildren Jimmy Dean Evans, Tim Evans and wife Maegan , Clerissa Varela, and Dakota Evans and wife Julie; son Dewayne Evans and wife Leslie, and grandchildren Britany Nicole Davison, Lacey Lee McNack, bonus grandchildren David Miller and wife Sydney, Samantha Miller, Jessica Miller, Amber Looper and husband Noah ; daughter Alesha Chandler, and grandchildren Kalob Champlin and wife Hailey, Jordan Shepherd and wife Sidney, and Heather Alarcon; her bonus daughter Cindy Alexander and husband Aaron, and grandchildren Jamilyn Alexander, Hannah Alexander (and fiancé Cameron Williams), AJ Alexander, Delaney Alexander; bonus son Josh Talsma; her sister Janice Trammell and husband Darrell; and blessed with 32 great-grandchildren with two more on the way.
Late in life, she was blessed and survived by her special friend and our bonus "Pops", Jerry McCollough; bonus sons Lindel McCullough and wife Laura, Tommy McCollough, Shane McCullough and wife April; and twelve additional grandchildren to call her own.
Maxie was preceded in death by her parents, Alva Albert and Betty Lucile Lewis Fennell, and her husband, James A. Talsma.
Maxie left us many sweet memories to carry with us on our journey forward. While we will miss our sweet Maxie, we are comforted to know she is now resting peacefully in the arms of Jesus. May we honor her legacy by living our lives to the fullest for Christ, whom she loved so dearly.
