Mary Evelyn Jaro, age 76, surrounded by her family passed away on Friday, January 2, 2026 at her home. She was born on April 5, 1949 to the late Clarence Arland Borders and Ora Gertrude (James) Borders. Mary was a member of the local Altrusa Club and St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown, Arkansas. She retired from Arkansas & Missouri Railroad as a bookkeeper. Mary loved her family and watching her grandchildren's adventures. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Jaro.
Mary fought a long and hard battle with her blood disorder. She was never one to complain. Her positive thinking kept her active socially. Mary will be deeply missed by her family.
Mary is survived by three children, Nancy Ralston and her husband, Raymond of Pocomoke City, Maryland, Eric Jaro and his wife, Missy of Tontitown, Arkansas and Michael Jaro and his wife, Kelsee of Bella Vista, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Brittnay Ralston, Justin Ralston and Koen Jaro; cousin, Karen O'Neal of Fayetteville, Arkansas; a host of extended family and friends.
Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Mass of the Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, January 9, 2026 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown. Rosary will be 11:30 a.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Tontitown. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Arkansas.
