Maria Gertrudis Madrid, age 79 passed away Monday, January 12, 2026 at Circle of Life in Springdale, Arkansas.  She was born on November 11, 1946 in Puebla, Mexico to the late Candido Madrid and Felipa Hernandez.

Maria is survived by husband, Geronimo Ortega; daughter, Patricia Ortega; three sons, Martin Ortega, Alberto Ortega all of Springdale and Estevan Ortega and his wife, Kaila of Texas; eight grandchildren; one great grandchild.

Funeral services will be from 10:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2026 at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home.
