Linda Lou Niccum, age 78, died August 2, 2022, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was born March 10, 1944 in Fayetteville to Ralph and Iva (Riggins) Gabbard. Linda spent her early childhood in Crosses, Hazel Valley, and Durham, eventually moving to Fayetteville with her family. On February 27, 1962 she married Kenneth Richard Niccum and together they raised their family. She was a member of the United Pentecostal Church. Linda not only loved to sing, she also wrote over a hundred songs and recorded several CD's. She enjoyed gardening and especially growing beautiful flowers. She was devoted to her family and her grandchildren were the joy of her life.
She is survived by her son, Kenneth Michael Niccum and wife Jerri of Fayetteville; her daughter, Sheryl Renee Hampton and husband Sam of Fayetteville; her brother, Steve Rogers and wife Lessie of Van Buren; her granddaughter, Sarah Hampton and her partner Mason Crawford of Springdale; her grandson, Seth Hampton of Fayetteville; sisters-in-law, Audrie, Peggy, Terri and Barbara Niccum; and a host of extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister, Joye Baker, and a brother, Frank Gabbard.
Funeral Services will be 1 p.m. Friday, August 5, at The Sanctuary United Pentecostal Church in Lincoln with Rev. Jason Campbell officiating. Burial to follow at Farmington Cemetery in Farmington. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, August 4, at the funeral home.
