IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Kimberly Fedosky
Brinson
October 5, 1961 – May 10, 2021
Kimberly Fedosky Brinson, 59, of Elkins, died 10am, May 10, 2021 at her home following an extended illness. She was born October 5, 1961 in Manhattan, Kansas to Edward and Virginia (Eubank) Fedosky.
Kim grew up alongside the swimming pool that she helped her family build, and worked there as an instructor, until leaving for university. She met her husband Mike in French class at Southwest Texas State University and accompanied him in his travels, as an Air Force Officer. When they returned to Arkansas, Kim returned to the family business, operating the Swim Ranch during the summers alongside her sister, Susan, while homeschooling her children and teaching at Providence Classical Christian Academy (PCCA) in Rogers, developing the history curriculum, as the school grew. PCCA's "Kim Brinson Distinguished Faculty Award" is named in her honor. Despite a stage-four cancer diagnosis in 2014, Kim continued to operate the Swim Ranch until the final year of her life. Her children and students thrived on her contagious enthusiasm, sense of humor, childlike exuberance, and deep Christian faith. From beginning to the very end, she remained at heart an educator.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward (2016) and Virginia (2017). She is survived by her husband, Mike; two children, Hannah Skelton and husband Chase, and Max Brinson; one sister, Susan Gabbard; and three brothers, Edward, Scott, and Keane.
