Kermit M. Coover, age 89, passed away on Friday, January 13, 2023, at his home in Rogers. He was born April 4, 1933, in Marengo, Iowa to the late Merritt and Inez Cooperider Coover. Mr. Coover served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He received the National Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal while stationed in Germany. On December 3, 1964, he married Martha Grandgeorge in Omaha, Nebraska. Kermit's love was farming in Iowa, but also worked at several different farm implements, was an automotive mechanic, the head custodian at the community college, and was a natural Handyman. Later in life they moved to Rogers and started a lawn mowing business where he cared for over three hundred yards until he retired at the age of 79. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha in 1998 and a son, Thomas Lee Coover in 2005.

He is survived by his twin children; Michele Coover of Spring Branch, Texas, Michael and Tina Coover of Springdale, daughter-in-law, Jane Coover of Rogers; five grandchildren, Naomie Coover, Christopher Coover, Ashley and Tony Davis, Trey and Makayla Coover, Macey Coover; six great grandchildren; brother, Wayne Coover of Marion, Iowa and extended family and friends.

Memorial services will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 21, 2023, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Keith Buttram officiating.
