Kenneth Orval Pennel, 93, of Springdale, died Monday, July 9, 2018 at his daughter's home in Vanleer, Tennessee. He was born November 18, 1924 in Morrow to Elber Garfield and Lela Ann Abshier Pennel, the youngest of eight children. Kenneth served in the Arym during WWII. He was a faithful Christian and attended Robinson Avenue Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Jean (Daniel) Pennel in 2014, and a great-grandson, Timmy Pennell. He is survived by two children, Don Pennell and wife Johnny of Springdale, Sandy Jaro and husband Eddie of Vanleer; six grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service was held Tuesday, July 24, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with interment at Baptist Ford Cemetery.
