Karen Louise Johnson, age 83, died on Monday, January 8th, 2024 in Bentonville, Arkansas. She was born on September 5, 1940 in Kansas City, Kansas to the late Gilbert Lyle and Betty Jane (Timmons) Kusler. Karen, a vibrant spirit, left the world with the same gentle touch she brought to it. She spent her working life caring for others in long-term care, finding joy in every smile she nurtured. Beyond the workplace, her nimble fingers spun magic, crafting and sewing treasures that warmed the hearts of her loved ones. Each stitch held a silent whisper of affection. But Karen's greatest treasure was her family. Her home, a haven of warmth and laughter, echoed with the joyous symphony of family visits. With the grandchildren's laughter ringing through her home, and the pitter-patter of tiny great-grandchildren's feet was the sweetest music to her ears. Though Karen's earthly journey has ended, the reverberation of her love and the warmth of her spirit continue to ripple outward, a testament to a life beautifully lived, stitch by stitch, smile by smile. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ronnie Kusler.

She is survived by daughter, Sabrina and her husband Roger Lawrence of Gentry; two brothers, Rusty and wife Barbra Kusler of Longmont, Colorado and Gilbert Kusler of Salt Lake City, Utah; three sisters; Kay Donaldson of Sabetha, Kansas, Darlene and her husband Earl Meyers of Bern, Kansas and Nicki Kusler of Longmont, Colorado; five grandchildren, Alicia Lawrence, Lindsey Lawrence, Kaitlyn Fox, Jarod Lawrence and Brooke Lawrence; seven great grandchildren, Jadyn Fox, Hunter Fox, Kaylor Fox, Bowan Fox, Tatum Fox, Harper Lawrence and Oliver Lawrence and a host of extended family.

A memorial service will be 10:00 am Saturday, January 13th, 2024 in the Chapel at Circle of Life Hospice 1201 NE Legacy Pkwy Bentonville, AR 72712. Donations may be made to Pet Peace of Mind through Circle of Life Hospice .
