Jose Primitivo Vazquez-Noriega, age 74, of Fayetteville, passed away Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born on April 23, 1951, in Durango, Mexico to Hilaria Noriega. On November 21, 1982, he married Yolanda Gallardo Garcia.

Jose is survived by his wife, Yolanda Gallardo Vazquez of Fayetteville; three children, Nancy Vazquez of Fayetteville, Rodolfo Vazquez and Jorge Vazquez, both of Durango, Mexico; mother, Hilaria Noriego of Duranga, Mexico; five sisters, two brothers and four grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. Monday, March 30, 2026, at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale. A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of the Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 1, 2026, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. Mr. Vazquez will be interred at Panteon Municipal Cemetery in El Noyar Durango, Mexico. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home of Springdale.
