Jimmy Alfred McConnell, 75, of Madison County, Arkansas went to his heavenly home May 3, 2024. He was born on February 22,1949 to Bobbie and William McConnell in Brewster, Washington. Jimmy was a truck driver by trade and hauled milk and bread for years with his brothers. He loved camping, fishing, and hunting, but he enjoyed doing these things with his family more than anything.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobbie and William McConnell; two brothers, Clyde and Don McConnell; three sisters, Carolyn Dickard, Melba Allred and Bessie McConnell; three nephews and one niece.
He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Melba "Sissy" and Randy Burks of the home; 4 grandchildren, Brittany and husband Britnell, Tiffany and husband Cody, Justin and wife Joelene, Tanner and fiancé Jessa; 5 great-grandchildren, Checotah, Athena, Hera, Coy and Judah; one sister, Bonnie Stout of Fayetteville; many nieces and nephews; and his beloved dogs Eddy, Stumpy, Sister and Tink.
Jimmy was a loving brother, father, grandfather and a great friend to many. He will be greatly missed.
Pallbearers will be Randy Burks, Justin Reading, Tanner Burks, Britnell Sartin, Cody Hastings, and Checotah Hastings. Honorary pallbearers are Athena Reading, Hera Reading, Coy Burks, Judah Sartin, Larry Stout, Lonnie Lawhorn, Eddie McConnell, Troy Matthews and Eddy Burks.
Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, May 5th,2024 at Heritage Funeral Home of Springdale, Arkansas. Graveside services will begin at 2:00 p.m., Monday, May 6th,2024 at Zion Cemetery of Springdale, Arkansas.
