Jerry D. Woods (Woody), age 77, passed away March 1, 2026, in Fayetteville, Arkansas surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born June 29, 1948, in Jonesboro Arkansas. Jerry grew up and graduated from Weiner High School in 1966. On March 22, 1969, Jerry married the love of his life, Barbara Jean Rice. They were married for 57 years. Jerry grew up working on a rice farm in Weiner, then spent 49 years in building material sales in Memphis, Tennessee, Jackson, Mississippi, and Springdale, Arkansas. At retirement, he was working for ABC Supply in Bethel Heights, Arkansas. Jerry’s main hobby and passion in life was antique automobiles and antique toys. He enjoyed attending local and nationally auto shows. Jerry attended hundreds of swap-meets for old cars and trucks across Mid-America. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar Charles and Frances Lorraine Woods; two granddaughters, Gloria Hope Woods and Amanda Brooke Laughter.

Jerry is survived by his wife, Barbara; two daughters, Carrie Elaine and her husband, Joseph Edens, Virginia Lynn (Jennie) and her husband, Alex Kavaney; son, Donald (Everett) and his wife, Lisa Woods; two sisters, Barbara Bear and Brenda Davis and their families; ten grandchildren.

Visitation for Jerry will be 6:00-8:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 4, 2026 at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 5, 2026 at Heritage Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Brentwood Cemetery in Brentwood, Arkansas. He will be greatly missed by his family, but we know we will see him again soon. Pallbearers will be Dan Harnish, Scott Wilmoth, Dale Cleveland, Clint Baker, Don Willard and Ben Willard. Honorary pallbearers are Joshua Woods, Jake Woods, Alex Woods, Zak Edens, Josh Edens, Alex Kavaney, Jospeh Edens and Everett Woods.
