Jerry D. Woods (Woody), age 77, passed away March 1, 2026, in Fayetteville, AR surrounded by his family and loved ones. He was born June 29, 1948, in Jonesboro AR. He grew up in Weiner, AR and graduated from Weiner High School in 1966. Jerry married the love of his life Barbara Jean Rice on March 22, 1969. They were married for 57 years.

Jerry grew up working on a rice farm in Weiner, then spent 49 years in building material sales in Memphis, Tennessee, Jackson, Mississippi, and Springdale, Arkansas. At retirement, he was working for ABC Supply in Bethel Heights, AR.

Jerry’s main hobby and passion in life was antique automobiles and antique toys, and attending auto shows locally and nationally. He also attended hundreds of swap-meets for old cars and trucks all over the Mid-America area.

Jerry is survived by his wife Barbara; two daughters, Carrie Elaine and husband Joseph Edens, Virginia Lynn (Jennie) and husband Alex Kaveney; one son, Donald (Everett) and wife Lisa Woods; two sisters Barbara Bear and Brenda Davis and their families; 10 grandchildren.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, and granddaughters Gloria Hope Woods and Amanda Brooke Laughter.

Visitation for Jerry will be March 4, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral service will be March 5, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale, AR. Graveside internment will follow at Brentwood Cemetery in Brentwood, AR.

He will be greatly missed by his family, but we know we will see him again soon.
