James Henry Whittle, age 89, passed away on Saturday, October 28, 2023 in Huntsville, Arkansas. He was born on January 2, 1934 in Pilgrams Rest, Arkansas to the late Henry Calvin and Nina Rose (Fletcher) Whittle.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Norma Yvonne Whittle, brothers, Milo and Thomas Whittle, sisters, Daisy Couch, Susie Owen, Verna Graham, Mary Evelyn Todd and Bette Smith. James is survived by his son, Johnnie Whittle of Hindsville, Arkansas; daughter, Linda Louise and husband Dwight Morris of Fayetteville, Arkansas; three grandchildren, Caleb and wife Chandra Whittle, Kristy and husband David Riddle, Rebecca Copeland; eight great grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren and a host of extended family.

Visitation will be 5:00-7:00p.m., Wednesday, November 1, 2023 at Heritage Funeral Home of Springdale, Arkansas. Graveside service 10:00a.m. Friday, November 3, 2023 with Pastor Roy Hoffeleder officiating at Buckeye Cemetery in Hindsville, Arkansas.
