IN LOVING MEMORY OF
James "Brian"
Hillyer
June 13, 1961 – June 21, 2022
James "Brian" Hillyer, 61 of Bentonville, died Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born June 13, 1961 in Shreveport, Louisiana. James, who went by Brian, was adopted at an early age by Norman and Bonnie Hillyer who preceded him in death. Brian was a skilled carpenter, framer, foreman, and so much more. He took great pride in his workmanship. He was a perfectionist at his trade. Brian also had a great passion for music, the drums, the Colorado Avalanche, KC Chiefs, Razorbacks, and Fine Dining (or even just a well crafted burger or pizza). He was quite the grill master as well. Brian spent many hours working with several charities in the Denver Metro Area helping improve others lives. Whether he was building access ramps with the Home Builder's Foundation, or helping serve food to guests at the Ronald McDonald House, he never hesitated to be a part of any opportunity to help out. Above all, he was so very proud of his three sons and the amazing talented men they have grown up to be. He loved his family very much. He was looking forward to getting to know his grandkids and passing on his carpentry skills with them.
James is survived by his loving significate other Patty Trout; sons, Dustin Hillyer and wife Eleta of Cave Springs, Derek Hillyer and wife Kristin of Rogers, Damon Hillyer and wife Deidra of Farmington; step-daughter, Sara Trout of Longmont, Colorado; Step-mother, Jo Ann Hillyer of Monett, Missouri; sisters, P.J. Eggleston and husband Paul of Monett, Missouri, Teri Williams of Neosho, Missouri; and grandchildren Jaxson, Lucas, Palmer, Oliver, Dacie, and Dessa Hillyer.
Funeral Services will be private.
