James Junior Copeland, 74, of Springdale, Arkansas went to be with his heavenly Father on Monday, March 11, 2024. He departed this life surrounded by family at his home. He was born December 4, 1949 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to the late James Lee and Bonnie Mae (Smith) Copeland. James loved to fish and hunt and enjoyed golfing with friends and family. He had accomplished a lot in life by obtaining Electric and Plumbing accreditation and retired after 35 years as Springdale School District's Maintenance Director. He attended Hickory Flat Church in Springdale. He was preceded in death by both parents along with his wife of 54 years, Barbara Elaine (Snow) Copeland.

James is survived by his sisters and brother, Joyce Copeland and Donna Sowell both of Springdale, Arkansas and Don Copeland of Hindsville, Arkansas; children, Larry Copeland and wife Dairah of the home, Julie Copeland of Farmington, Arkansas, Douglas Copeland and wife Bobbi of Lowell, Arkansas and Jacob Copeland and wife Brenda of Huntsville, Arkansas; eleven grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and many other family and friends.

Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2024 at Mt. Olive Cemetery in Elkins, Arkansas. www.heritageofnwa.com
