James Arthur Acuff, 79, of Hindsville, died Thursday, November 22, 2018. He was born December 19, 1938 in Harrison to James Edmond and Marjorie Marie (Hayes) Acuff.

James was a member of Ray of Hope Church. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and hunting and fishing. He retired from Tyson Foods after 32 years.

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Stella (Lynch) Acuff; four children, Dedara Jones and husband Keith, Doug Acuff and wife Pat, Danny Acuff and wife Rachel, Kim Watkins and husband Brad, 3 brothers, 3 sisters, 14 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

James was preceded in death by a daughter, Danette Bowen, and a sister.

A funeral service was held Monday, November 26, at Ray of Hope Church in Nob Hill with interment at Hickory Grove Cemetery .
