Hubert F. Moore, Jr, age 80, passed away Friday, May 9, 2025 at Washington Regional Hospital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. He was born and raised in Greenwood, Mississippi. In 1963, Hubert graduated from Greenwood High, where his mother taught English for over 35 years. For many years in Greenwood, Hubert worked at Star Tailors, Phil's Squire Shop and managed the gym at La Physique. He retired from Dillard's in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Hubert was a member of Robinson Ave Church of Christ in Springdale. He was known by many friends for his love of weightlifting, motorcycles and riding bicycles.

Hubert is survived by his wife of 57 years, Dian Lowery Moore; daughter, Gina Moore Meredith and her husband, Toby; sister-in-law, Connie Lowery Carnes; niece, Laura Jade Farris and her husband, Joe; two nephews, Eric Carter,  Gabe Carter and wife, Jenny; three great nephews, Nate, Nick and Kellen; two great nieces, Cambry and Harper; old friends, Jerry Wexler and George Smith III

A graveside service will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Odd Fellows Cemetery on Carrollton Ave in Greenwood, Mississippi. Family and friends are invited to attend. The pallbearers are Toby Meredith, Gabe Carter, Eric Carter, Joe Farris, Jerry Wexler and George Smith III.
