Herman John Seiter, 92 of Springdale, died Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at Circle of Life Hospice. He was born March 15, 1930, in Morrison Bluff, Arkansas, to William Michael and Crescentia Ann (Newman) Seiter. Herman served in the Navy and was an avid fisherman. He was a diesel mechanic with Jones Truck Lines and later managed the repair shop. He was proud of his Catholic faith and an active member of St. Raphael Catholic Church since 1960. Herman was a friend to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Claypool; two children, Rebecca DiFranco and husband Mike, Jeffery Seiter and wife Audrey; two sisters, Mary Mammoser and Millie Maxwell; four grandchildren, Ross Urban and wife Genevieve, Matthew Seiter, Taylor Seiter, Noah Seiter; one great-granddaughter, Astrid; and three stepchildren, Diana Smith, Steven Claypool and Teresa Falk. Herman was preceded in death by his first wife, Lyn Seiter in 2005, two brothers, three sisters, and a step-daughter, Joyce Ford.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, June 17, at St. Raphael Catholic Church with entombment at Fairview Memorial Gardens . Visitation will begin at 5 p.m. Thursday followed by a Rosary service at 6 p.m. at Heritage Funeral Home, online guestbook at heritageofnwa.com.
