Henry Clyde Piazza, 90, of Tontitown peacefully passed away at Circle of Life on Saturday, August 21, 2026. He was a first-generation Italian born on January 1, 1936, in Tontitown, Arkansas to Domenico and Blanche Taldo Piazza.

Henry is a lifelong resident and civil servant of Tontitown. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown. He married his high school sweetheart, Charlotte Lynn Hunt on August 11, 1956. He had a strong work ethic and when something needed to be done, he just made it happen. In his younger years he was a boy scout leader. In his early years he worked at M&M tile as a tile layer. Then he devoted 40 years to Heekin / Ball Corp. He was a strong believer in hard work and providing for the family. When he retired in 1997, he couldn’t sit still and started gardening and participated in the Roger’s Farmers market. People came from all over for his tomatoes.

In his civil service commitments, he served for 47 years on the Tontitown City Council and is the co-founder of the Tontitown Historical Museum. Back when he was on the council, you didn’t just go to meetings, if something broke around the city, you helped fix it. It wouldn’t be anything out of the norm for him to help fill a pothole or move a tree that fell in the streets. He listened to the citizens. He was also a huge contributor to the creation of our beautiful park that the city has today. There is a pavilion named after him. He was the driving force behind the beautiful statue that sits in front of our City Hall. Preserving his history and story of the town was very important to him. He loved his town and his community and was always there if someone needed anything.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte Piazza; son, Charles Piazza; four brothers, James, Hubert, Albert, & George Piazza; grandson, John William Piazza.

Survivors include one sister, Nora Crowe of Springdale; daughter, LeAnn Piazza and Paul Meredith of Tontitown; three sons, Andrew Piazza and his wife, Joan of West Fork, Larry Piazza of Cave Springs, Matthew Piazza and his wife, Jackie of Fayetteville; five grandchildren, Matthew Dean Piazza and his wife, Misty, Lisa Figgins and her husband Tim, Rachel Piazza and his husband Saad, Blake Piazza, and Rita Piazza; four great grandchildren, Katie Jo Piazza, Ryan Piazza, Anthony Piazza, Natalie Figgins along with numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Friday, August 28, 2026, from 6-8 pm at Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 29, 2026 St. Joseph Catholic Church in Tontitown with Father Bala officiating. A Rosary will be recited at 9:00 a.m. prior to Mass. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Tontitown. Pallbearers will be Andrew Piazza, Larry Piazza, Matt Piazza, Ryan Piazza, Dean Piazza, Anthony Piazza and Paul Meredith.
