Hazel Myrtle Dodson, age 76, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away at her home on October 16, 2025. She was born in Sedalia, Missouri, on July 12, 1949, to Richard and Stella (Spratley) Butterbaugh.

Hazel was a woman who found joy in the simple pleasures of life. She spent her days watching her favorite soap operas inside and loved sitting outside on her front porch. A devoted caregiver, she doted on her large, blended family of seven dogs, as well as her chickens and ducks. She was deeply loved and will be forever missed by her sons.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Stella Butterbaugh, two brothers, William David Butterbaugh and John Butterbaugh, and one sister, Stella Hutchinson.

Hazel is survived by her sons, Richard Priestmeyer and Thomas Dodson of Springdale; eight grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be handled privately by family.
