Greg A Grinder, age 54, of Springdale, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at his home on April 10, 2026. He was born in Harrison, Arkansas on March 23, 1972. He dedicated his life to serving others. Greg worked as an EMT and later as a deputy with the Washington County Sheriff’s Office. Following the events of September 11, 2001, Greg decided to continue his service by enlisting in the United States Army. At Fort Benning, Georgia, he trained as a combat medic with the 2nd Battalion, 47th Bravo Company.
After returning home to Springdale, Greg worked with his stepfather, Don Shooter, at Shooter Irrigation. After Don’s passing, Greg continued the business, later renaming it Grinder Irrigation. He medically retired in 2024. Greg was devoted father and grandfather to his family. He had a creative soul and a playful spirit. Greg loved playing guitar, drawing, and spending time outdoors. He will be remembered for his quick wit and his ability to make people laugh. He made ordinary moments feel special. His presence was steady, his love was deep, and his memory will live on in the stories and laughter he leaves behind. Greg will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
He is survived by his parents, Hugh Grinder of Salem and Ruth Shooter of Marshall; his wife, Angie Grinder; his daughters, Erica Lee (Nick) and Becca Grinder (Mya); and his beloved grandchildren, Mason Grinder, Sadie Lee, Jameson Lee, Cambria Lee, and Stella Lee of Springdale; two brothers, Charles Grinder (Debbie) of Salem and Jeff Grinder (Kim); sister, Joy Brown (Justin) of Springdale; nieces and nephews, Levi (Dee), Nicki (Gabe), Hunter (Maddie), Chasidy (Rodney), Brandon, Jaxson, Britney (Xavier), Brianna (Josh) and Justin; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and dear friends who loved him deeply.
A celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. April 18, 2026 at Ward Nail Park, 801 McClure Ave. in Lowell. Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home (479)751-2444.
