Glendoris Irene "Gleni" Hauber, 79, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, died Thursday, May 13, 2021 in Springdale following a brief illness. She was born May 1, 1942 in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin to Leo and Janet (Smith) Hauber.
Gleni was raised in the Quad Cities of eastern Iowa. With the loss of her father and brother at an early age, she learned the values of hard work and business acumen from her mother in the family café, grocery and hardware store. These values shaped and supported her many future endeavors. She worked her way through high school cleaning the Catholic rectory in exchange for tuition graduating Assumption High School in Davenport IA.
She married and raised two sons. Gleni enhanced her experiences and creativity through numerous opportunities that came her way. She owned her own hair salon, owned a dairy farm, managed a university extension office, owned a grocery store and an insurance agency. Gleni has always found great inspiration in her worldwide travels managing to visit 79 different countries. Gleni retired ten years ago and relocated to NWA from Florida to be closer to family and continue her travels. Gleni always enjoyed expressing herself through her many paintings.
Glendoris is survived by two sons, Jeff Vinger and wife Rhonda, Todd Vinger and wife Carol; one sister, Dolores Bolgren; and two grandsons, Ben Vinger and Nicholas Vinger.
