Floyd Ray Barker, age 78 passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas. He was born on June 30, 1945 in Fayetteville, Arkansas, to the late Lafayette Barker and Dorothy Isabelle (Barnes) Barker-Wilks. He loved spending time outdoors while working in the garden. Floyd was a skilled construction worker who found satisfaction in hard work. He was preceded in death by a son, Floyd Ray Barker, Jr.

Floyd is survived by five children, John Kennedy Barker, Cassandra Ludgood both of Ft. Smith, Robert Jason Barker (Michelle) of Springdale, Margaret Robinson (Stevie) of Ft. Smith and Danielle Pace of Jackson, Mississippi; fourteen grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; five siblings, Laythaniel Barker, Bobby Barker, Lafayette Barker Jr, Patricia Barker Pendergrass and Teresa Barker Gray; several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday, June 1, 2024 at Combs Street Church of Christ, Fayetteville, Arkansas. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with Pastor Steve West officiating. Pallbearers will be Jerome Barker, J Aleczander, Plas Abraham, Tristian Jamal Miller, Joseph Barker, Terrance Rock. Burial to follow at Bean Cemetery in Lincoln, Arkansas.
