Fay Prince Porter Alexander, age 81, of Tontitown, Arkansas, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, October 21, 2024. Born on November 9, 1942, in Greenville, Mississippi, to the late Perry and Bessie Prince Porter, Fay spent 64 years in Greenville before moving to Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where she lived for seven years, and later settled in Springdale, Arkansas. Fondly known as "Grammy" or "Mrs. A," Fay was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Kenneth Alexander.
She is survived by her three children: Kenneth Jr. and Rebecca Alexander of Ewa Beach, Hawaii; Carolyn and Mark Hatton of Jacksonville Beach, Florida; and Lucy and Eddie Maples of Springdale, Arkansas. She was a cherished grandmother to six grandchildren: Matthew Alexander, Madison Alexander, Porter Scheiderman, Alex Hatton, Kendall Maples Nelson, and Abby Hatton, as well as a beloved member of an extended family.
Memorial service is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Sunday, January 5, 2025 at St. James Episcopal Church, 1026 South Washington Ave. Greenville, Mississippi. Visitation will begin at 1:30 p.m. prior to the service.
