Eric Jorgensen, 68, of Fayetteville, passed on peacefully July 29, 2023, with his loved ones at his side. Eric was born August 28, 1954 in Englewood, NJ, to Harald and Harriet Jorgensen. After attending the Forman School in Litchfield, CT, he went on to graduate from Fayetteville High School in 1973. Eric attended the University of Arkansas and the Water and Wastewater Technical College in Neosho, MO.  He obtained his Water/Wastewater certifications in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. Eric worked for Gulf Coast Waste Disposal Authority in Houston and monitored their water and wastewater treatment facilities.  Eric was a certified scuba diver and had his EPA Certification for underwater sampling/diving. He was also a member of the Water Pollution Control Federation. Eric enjoyed baseball and was the recipient of the Green Bat Award while at the Forman School. He went on to play American Legion baseball. Earning a blue belt in Judo, he was successful in several Judo competitions. Eric also loved to draw and ride his motorcycle. Eric attended the Christian Science Church both in Englewood, NJ, and Fayetteville, AR.

Eric was preceded in death by his parents Harald and Harriet Jorgensen. He is survived by his sister Nan Ginger and her partner Michael Moyer of Fayetteville; his niece and nephew Cassidy and Will Ginger of Fayetteville; and his faithful cousin Teri (Tom) Veatch of Avon, Indiana.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.  Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home (479)751-2444.
