Elizabeth (Massanelli) Smith died November 16, 2020 in Springdale. She was born February 19, 1930 in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to Evo and Cesira Massanelli. She married J.W. Smith on June 12, 1949 and they cherished each other until his death in 2018. After raising their three children, Elizabeth had a long career in banking, working at Savers Bank and Simmons First Bank in Pine Bluff before moving to Springdale in 2007. She was well known in Pine Bluff for her wonderful cooking which she loved sharing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband J.W., brother Garland "Tim" Massanelli, and grandson Matthew Smith. She is survived by sons Harold Martin "Marty" Smith (Kathy) of Montgomery, TX, Joseph W. "Jay" Smith Jr. (Mira) of McClean, VA, and daughter Marsha Johnson (Randy) of Springdale, sisters Linda Smith of Springdale and Helen Langlinais of Houston, three grandchildren and one great-grandson.
