Elinor Merle Paasch, age 92, of Springdale, died Tuesday, December 14, 2021.  She was born March 23, 1929 in Pierceville, Kansas, to Ira Chester and Cecil Fern (Clark) Bates.  Elinor enjoyed painting, quilting and sewing.  She was also a fantastic cook and a longtime member of University Baptist Church in Fayetteville.

Elinor was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Lynn Paasch in 2011; two brothers, George Bates and Arvid Bates; and two sisters, Myrna Mott and Shirley Brenning.  She is survived by her daughter, Lynette Bennett and husband Robert of Springdale; one granddaughter, Iashia George and husband Austin of Huntsville and their daughter, Ruth Nadene; two sisters, Nina Birkle of Garden City, Kansas, Louise Hokanson and husband Curtis of Wichita, Kansas; in-laws, Ray Brenning, Mike and Dorothy Paasch, Gladys Paasch; and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral at 11 a.m. Saturday, December 18, at Heritage Funeral Home Chapel.  Private interment will be at a later date at Fayetteville National Cemetery.
