Doris Maxine Barthelemy, 100, of Springdale, AR, went home to be with her Lord on January 22, 2022. Doris was born January 26, 1921, in Bonners Ferry, Idaho, to the late Charles Jean and Lettie Fidelia (New) Florea.  On September 11, 1947 she married Byron Barthelemy in Bonners Ferry, Idaho.

Doris considered the most important day of her life to have been in December of 1953 when she read a Gospel tract and subsequently trusted Jesus Christ as her Savior.  As a result, she had a special passion for passing out tracts, for missions and for prayer, especially as it was related to the persecuted church throughout the world.  She regularly prayed for her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great, great grandchildren for years.  For many years she also enjoyed teaching Good News Clubs to children. Though Doris completed Nurses' Training and worked as a nurse in various locations through the years, her primary focus was on being a homemaker.   She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and beating anyone who would play her in a game of Scrabble . Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Byron, on May 13, 2008, two sons, Larry and Ronnie, three grandchildren, her brothers and a sister.

She is survived by five sons, Mike Beus and his wife, Sandy, of Spokane, Washington, Rick Beus and his wife, Jan, Terry Barthelemy and his wife Rosemary, all of Salina, Kansas, Jerry Barthelemy and his wife, Judy, of Hilliard, Florida, Steve Barthelemy and his wife, Doris, of Springdale, Arkansas; three daughters, Barbara Lamberth and her husband, Jim, of Ridgecrest, California, Patti Toliver and her husband Rich, of Branson, Missouri, Mary Smith and her husband, Richard, of Albuquerque, New Mexico; daughter-in-law Shirley Barthelemy of Palmdale, California; 31 grandchildren along with numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 29, 2022 at Fellowship Bible Church in Springdale. Mrs. Barthelemy will be interred at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, Illinois.
